On February 17 the Swinerton Hawaii team held a ground blessing ceremony at the University of Hawaii West Oahu campus in Kapolei for the new Allied Health and Administrative Building project. The project was awarded in mid-2016 and will include new classrooms, laboratories, and office spaces to support the Allied Health programs on campus. The new development encompasses over 43,000 square feet of new construction and is expected to complete in the third quarter of 2018.
Once finished, the building will relieve the demand for new campus spaces and further supplement the thriving programs of the West Oahu campus. This project marks the second visit to the West Oahu campus area for the Hawaii team. In 2015 Swinerton successfully completed the new 85,000-square-foot campus of the Hawaii Tokai International College just steps away from the West Oahu campus.
