This showcase project is a 42,600-square-foot renovation in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhood. The waterproofing repair project consists of five courtyard renovations.
The courtyards are surrounded by three, four-story buildings originally built in 1968. Scope of work included demolition of all existing water features, landscaping, concrete planters, hardscape, and soil down to the structural slab. Swinerton also had to remove the waterproofing membrane; survey, analyze and repair structural slab; new waterproofing of the entire exposed structural slabs; and create and install new courtyard improvements, including swimming pools, water features, concrete flatwork, and landscaping.
